hey guys iv just changed all my cv joints, the car drive's smoothly wile just cruzing but as soon as i put the foot down i get bad vibration's, it seems the more load i put it under the worse it is, eg: 2nd and 3rd gear pretty much shake's the whole car wile 4th and 5th you can still feel it but not as bad. could of i done something wrong? iv double checked that the cv's are in the gearbox as far as they can go! my gearbox is pretty stuffed too but i cant see how putting new cv's in would do it any harm

so any idea's?

sounds more like a buggered engine mount i may be wrong (dont know much about cv joints so dont know what it may cause)

engine mounts were only replaced a month ago, 3 of them

when you say you gearbox is buggered anyways what do you mean???

and you checked all CV joints? the drivers side has 2 an inner and outter CV and the inner ones have always seem to be a problem so just re check then and all the CV's again.

you might have a small crack on the cv housing that will be letting all the grease from inside the CV to come out which can cause pretty bad viberations. i had similar thing on my TH. it was lowered as well and i went through 2 inner CV's so might be worth whilechecking them again to make sure.

the diff and bearings are buggerd in the gearbox, 1st and 2nd crunching.

the cv's i installed are brand new and should be fine, im getting another gearbox this week so with any luck ill find the problem when i put it in on the weekend

The driver's side cv sharft was about 10mm longer than it should of been, i jacked the car up and turned the wheel only to see the whole engine moving a little, the cv joint was hard up in the housing, so i put the old cv back in and all fixed :)
