well last night the missus had a crash(2nd in 2 weeks) and her front fender in rooted. and because of the crash last week, its safe to say the car will be a write-off.(insuraed for $3900 not bad for a 2nd gen). anyway, what im getting at here, is that she wants to keep the car, so i said i'll replace the front fender for her and insurance can fix the previous damage, seeing both wernt her fault, yet both the "asian driver" claim it was hers.
Basically i can pick up a new front fender from the wreckers pretty cheap, now how easy is it to replace, i can see 5 or so bolts under the bonnet and 2 or so under the guard, is there anything else i need to take off to replace the front?

LOL at the subtle racism.... you'll need to do the usual, pop off the headlights, and grill etc etc. i think they are 12mm bolts, lol i just know its size 4 on my ratchet, most are in that car, yeah as you said its the ones around the sides with the guards and then the ones under the sides. GL all the best.

good luck, the aftermarket/2nd hand fenders never fit the same as the original...
however having replaced both sides i can tell you the following,
you will need to take out/remove,
the headlight and indicator (of the side you are doing)
bolt joining fender to bumper
inside wheel arch gaurd
mudflap (again the side you are doing)
2 bolts on the inside of the door (they are obvious when you look for them)
the bolts on top of the fender under the bonnet
a couple of bolts around the wheel well also...
fyi hope you have a spare set of hands as it makes it easier and quicker, not to mention reduces risk of damaging the panel trying to put it back.

Liam. Fender? Do you mean a front mudguard by any chance?

Yeah, pretty sure it wouldn't be a write off from a rooted mudguard. lol Has to be the whole fender.
