Just installed a remote central locking into the TP Magna today. It comes with the option of flashing the indicators when you lock and unlock. I thought I had it worked out; under the dash on the right side is a joining block of wires. I the wires going to the flasher unit so I used them to join up with the wire coming from the remote control unit. LOL but now when I use the indicator to turn left or right BOTH come on. So I had to remove the wire!! So can anyone tell me were I can connect this wire from the remote control box to operate all four indicators, without affecting the normal turn left indicator while driving etc.

Cheers Glenn

Hopefully someone else will confirm this. I'm only guessing but I think you'd join it to the wire coming from the hazard switch because that causes all 4 indicators to flash.

You need to pick the wires up in the loom that goes from the indicator stalk. Most magnas are green with a black trace and green with a yellow trace. Good luck

When i put remote locking in my car i hooked up the indicators into the wiring behind the hazard light switch. The central locking had one output for the indicators which i connected to both the left and right side using two power diodes from dse, thisway both indicators and connected to the central locking but not to each other.

ok I have been behind the hazard switch and I think there is 6 wires. Couldn't find any power from them? are you able to tell me in more detail on how to do this please?

what I did is the same thing. I can keep the one wire from the remote control box connected to only one wire in the loom and only one side of the car works, but when I bridge the other wire for the other side together it will flash all indicators like the hazards when you use the stalk.

Ok I don;t have an actual wiring diagram handy but this is basically how I hooked it up.

The Diodes in the middle keep the left and right light circuits isolated from each other, I used these ones,

Double check the wire colours out of the hazard light switch as im not 100% sure of those.

Also this is assuming that your central locking system works the same as mine. Mine powered the indicator lights directly completely bypassing the flasher unit and indicator switch.

Thanks for your help! I'll try tomorrow. Mine is the same as yours, the central locking unit has it's own flasher built in.
