when you say the 2 screwdriver thing... are you talkin bout releasing the clip on the thrust bearing? or prying the gearbox apart?

There is a clip you need to pop thats attached to the clutch fork.. Really hard to explain but you need to get two big flat screw drivers and attack from the top and bottom of box. DONT try to lever box off or you will bent clutch forks and need to spend another $700 on a clutch too.. If you get the light you will see where the clutch slides over the crank drive shaft. You will see what looks like a a couple of big washers and one that looks kinda wavey.. when you see it you will know what i mean.. Sorry you need to be looking at this through the Peep holes on the box(remove Rubber caps). What you need to do is push the washer looking clips away from the clutch. Make sure you push gearbox back on completely so that it back against engine again. You put the screw drivers in between washers and just turn them and that moves washers apart and clip pops. you then just pull it off.. it sounds very easy because it is.. it is also very hard to explain unless you know what im talking about.
If you know what your doing its a 30sec job. if you dont its could be a 3 day job..:)

Thanks ego, had to bolt the box back upto the engine and do the screwdriver tick, you would'nt think that little clip could hold so much weight! clutch fork looks ok

Pffft. You say that now. I remember the phone calls from you at 2am while you where working on the car.. I could smell the bourbon over the phone so i would of hated to see what kinda working was going on there..:) I was even unsure you where taking the right bits off the car..:)

YOu are lucky, once the box is moved like that the clips can jam and prevent you from poping them apart.

From my experience is you need to push the box back up to the engine to do it.. If not it wont come off..:)

100% but sometimes the asy gets jammed and will not come apart, this happens if not lined up correctly when assembled or if the box is partly removed.
