So I was looking over wikipedia and noticed something I had never even heard of.

TL (2003–2004) — major facelift

ES (replaced Executive) (all models 3.5 V6)

VR (replaced Sports)

VR-X - Limited editions

Solara (based on ES)
VR Ralliart (on sale in 2004 only)
VR-X Ralliart (on sale in 2004 only)Very curious about these "VR/VR-X Ralliart" models of the TL, anybody got some info? Did a search with 0 results.

They were planned for release, but because the TL had very poor sales and i'm pretty sure they still had TJ ralliart's in stock they decided against releasing them.

So I'm guessing they never reached sale? Seems a shame.

i think they mean the ed ordynski limited edition VR and VR-X. they had the ralliart koni suspension and enkei rims.


yeah i assume that, that is what is going on. I have the VR limited edition, basically the cars where put together from left over TJ ralliart bits, as mentioned before they has the red Koni suspension, ralliart Enkei rims, the Pirelli Rubber used on the ralliarts, a sportier steering wheel and subtle external modifications, mainly colour codded head lights ( later used on the TW magna ) and on the VR top and lower grills. On the vrx top grill and fog light surrounds, also the rear had a dash of silver painted on it.
