Searched and couldn't find the info I was after.
I'll be getting 17x8 or 18x8 rims at some point. What offset do 3rd gens run? I'd like them to sit out a little further than the stock 16x7s. Cheers!

for the 18x8's a 38 offset will be fine
front tyres sit flush with the guard and the rear tires still sit tuck up under the arch

Cheers. Will a 35 offset be pushing it? Most of Rota's wheels jump from 35 to 42/45/48. (stock offset is 46, yes?)
If I go with 17s, I'll be getting 50 series rubber which might help things.

You'll be able to drive with them, but 8" wide wheels with a +35 offset will stick out past the front guards I believe.
This is the result of 18x8" +36 on a magna:

I remember that pic i took it when i was test fitting BA Falcon XR8 18" wheels on my Rada. Funny thing is i now have different 18" wheels on my Rada (+35 offset) but they don't stick out as much as that pic...maybe only 2mm:

How wide and what tyres are you running?

18" x 8" wheels wrapped in 235/40 rubber

Righto. I want 235/45R18s though, as that is near identical to the rolling circumference of 215/60R16s.

only cause they were closer to my rolling diameter

Here's another site for rim/tyre size comparisons - great site IMO...
