No, they won't fit without significant modification, nowhere on the standard TR/TS bumper has the provision to fit these lights, they are for third gen bumper bars only.
Protip: eBay links in eBay thread.

Hi Lucifer, thanks for info... I was asking if the modification is too big or can be done with slight mod. I would rather post in Ebay only thread but this was more on the techie side hance i posted here.

:bowrofl: famous last words
if you want those lights on a second gen get the diamante front bar for our modles. i have one and i know several others do too and they come with those style driving lights. to put them into a standard front bar would look tacky unless you have some good fibreglassing skillz

I think, i will have to search for second gen diamante Bumper - is it very hard to find ? how much it will cost ? I am driving in Syd every day but unable to see those kind !!
yeah, they are not the most common thing out there. i think there are about 10 of us on here that have either the first or second style of diamante front end. and they are rare but not impossible to find. start by looking in the mitsi specilist wreckers. i found mine in a general wreckers but normally they are a speciality item. expect to pay $300-$500 for it if its in good condition. the best thing about them is that the diamante came with different headlights with a chrome loop going around the parabolic headlights, look for a thread i started called 'second gen front ends'. got some pics in there, looks pretty good, i prefer the standard paras, but then again i also prefer the orange indicators:gtfo:
i got a complete nose cut, including the front bar, parabolic headlights, wiring, grill, radiator support and driving lights for $450 delivered to my place, but it was from a wreckers bout 20 mins away. well worth it imo:cool:

Diamante bumper bar.
Some wreckers don't know what a Diamante is though, so you're best off going hunting around a pick-and-pay type wrecker.

Yeah, just say that you are looking for a Diamante front bar, most specilist mitsi wreckers will know what you are after. or if you are after the lights you can go for a diamante nose-cut

When I bought my Series 1 Diamante bar, I first noted down wreckers that do imports from Japan and NZ, and pretty much got lucky the first time. Just ask for a "Diamante bar", if they have one they'll tell you, if they don't know what it is chances are they don't have one.

1. Can i have a copy of those notes :P hahahaha
And 2. Not to steal this thread but while we are on the question of, does something from a 3g fit a 2g, i ask this about the glove box lid, are they interchangeable?

Wish I could but there's only 2 wreckers on it, one of which has sold out, and the other of which is pretty dodgy. (where I bought mine from, thankfully it turned out alright after 3 months waiting lol)

The wreckers near my place wouldn't know what a diamante bumper was if itstruck them in the face and had a giant silver badge on it. paid $90 for mine with inserts and foggies. lol. it's a "TR bumper with foglights" aparently. lol.
