Hi All ...

Need your expertise again.. I have TR Magna which is fitted with Manual knobs for AC / Fan. I recetly bought a KR wood grain console which is very different. Does any know if they can be fitted ? Any idea if it needs any mod ?

Thanks

Climate control box is electric rather than mechanical, ie. the shutters etc are servo driven rather than push-rod driven.

Haven't investigated it fully, so don't know exactly what's involved. Some say you need the heater box from the climate control car as well, whereas others say you just need to pull the servos off it and replace the push-rods on your current box with them.

Don't know if the electronics are fully self-contained, or whether there is an external control / computer.

There are also two temp sensors, one in the middle of the front of the dash, the other in the roof, which you'll need to wire in (are they both really needed?).

But yes, it is possible to retrofit climate control, just not sure of the exact requirements.

EDIT:
Looking at the workshop manual (pgs 1111 - 1113), it mentions a photo sensor, interior temp sensor, air inlet sensor, fin thermo sensor, and engine coolant temp sensor. Not sure if the last three are standard across the range?

lol. the normal magna heat controls are a leaver systems, the climate control is a solenoid(i think) no you need the heater boxes out of a verada or elite.

Wouldn't be worth it, a sparkie will probably charge at least a coupla hundred dollars to do this. If you can't do it yourself, or don't have a mate who'd do it for a slab, I'd say forget it.
