Hi - I'm looking to get my TJ2 VR-X body kit painted and fitted.

I phoned Donellons body works in Kew and they said (very politely) that they don't do body kits as they are "rather fiddly" :surprised

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone here has recommendations. Preferably some place that has done your car recently :D

Thanks!

i got my kit painted by panel house smash repairs in dandenong. the did a really good job, even repaird my fiberglass front bar and plastic skirts and pinted them for $300 (pics is in members machines) but i did the fitting myself. its not that hard to fit the kit but should be anymore hten an extra $100 to fit the kit

what ashneel said, a factory kit isnt exactly hard to fit

the vrx kit is a pain to install properly, using the correct screwes, bolts etc.

the skirts are easy, the front and rear lips are a pain

when i got mine isntalled, most panel shops told me it would be time consuming to do it properly.

I ended up doing the front myself, was a fairly easy job to put it on, but that was using minimal screws/bolts to hold it on. not something a panel shop would to.

shop around, you will find someone that has done it before

I am tempted to fit the kit on by myself but am worried I might stuff up the alignment etc. I don't have ramps etc - would I be able to do this with a set of simple tools (drill, screwdriver, pairs of helping hands etc.)?

Thanks!

Thanks - they do bodykits? I might get some new speakers at the same time then. My tweeters clip when I listen to classical music...:D

I'd say they do cos Tim has the JVM front and sports wagon kit installed, both of which would be just as fiddly if not more so than a VRX kit. so might be something to consider
