Okay, I've had a look in some of the old forums about this bit didn't find anything significant. What does everyone think about the mudflaps? Should they be removed, colour coded, or untouched? I'm still trying to decide what to do with mine and would like some inspiration. Feel free to add pics to back up your argument.

Cheers.

I sitll have mine on because i do some driving on dirt roads and i dont want stone chips all along the side of my car. i agree the car looks cleaner without them but the functional side of things keeps them there for me... i must be getting old or something :bowrofl:

Cheers for all the replies, wasn't sure how it looked on a wagon and whether it'd go alright. I might take one side of and see how it looks. Any tips on what will work best to remove all the crap from the duco behind the mudflaps?

For the really tough kinda stuff that doesnt come off from rubbing hard with a sponge, get a detailing 'clay bar'.

They are awesome, I was washing my car today had some kinda of stain on it from I dont know what, rubbed like all hell with the sponge, would only start to come off if I scratched with my nail. Got the claybar out, few quick passes with basically nil pressure and it came straight off.

im going to go against the general opinion here... and say leave them on.

but perhaps colour code them to make them not stick out so much as mud flaps..

while they dont look the best granted, they do help protect your paint a bit from stone chips and excess dirt and dust being flung up onto it....

exactly - theres my evidence for needing them!!!

i dont have them - but i wanna get them, to prevent repeats of that picture...
oh the car got a LOT more dirty than that... it was pretty much entirely orange with mud and dirt... hahaha

anyhow - stick with the mudflaps, they make car cleaning duties that little bit more easier for you :)
