Pretty strange. Ive been having this light up everytime i apply the brakes. its got an X through it so im guessing its telling me that my brake lights are gone ?

Strange thing is, i checked them ( got my bro to stand behind car when applying brakes ) and they work fine.

Anyone know what it could be ?

A brake light warning on your dash is usually related to fluid. You did check that didnt you?

the red light with a cross (X) indicates a blown bulb

when was the brake fluid replaced ?

I dont know if this is relevant or not...

but remember there are 4 globes in the back that light up with the brakes/tailights... your brother mightntve known that and just seen one on each side or two on one and one on the other

...does that make sense?

nah all four... brakes and tail lights

Thanks mate that's exactly what the problem was. I replaced them and now its all good :)

I didnt think it would have been that because i was thinking that all the brake lights would be in a parallel circuit.

As for the brake fluid, the stupid res is kind of on an angle so one side is at max and the other side is in the middle lol. Might even it up one day.

the light with the globe icon is failed brake light, not related to fluid.

the other light (brake icon) means there is a difference in pressure between the two braking systems (related to brake fluid)
