Hello!

After fiddling with the new Elante this evening ive discovered, not to hard to come accross when it gets dark! theres no dashlights.

All the gauges and warning lights etc etc work... just doesnt light up with the headlights.

I did a forum search and the only thing that was mentioned was blown globes, i swapped the cluster over with another and that didnt light up either... ive since put the original back in and checked the globes on the one that i had temporarily in place... none of the globes on that looked to be blown.

All lights/tail lights work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Alex.

" info "

above the key ignition is a slider -- has to be over to the right for brightest

everyone knocks it to the left (dimmer) when using the keys

Hmm hadnt thought of that Gemini.

Just discovered another trick that may have something to do with teh problem...

it has a kill switch for the "P" parker button on the steering pad/controls part.

It has to be pushed in all the time and when its not... it cuts the engine out while its running... or it wont start while its not!

So, the parkers do not work from that switch and im guessing that maybe whoever installed it may have mucked up something somwehere!?

Its got a red flashing light and things so i presume it has been done like that and not that it just somewhow cuts the engine out!

...I know the problem with teh slider... everytime you use the car you have to turn them up again!! but its not that!! unless its a problem with it...
