Ok, I know this has sort'a been covered but a search didn't show what I'm after.

Basically I'm after some details on companies that provide bodykits for 2nd gen.'s (preferrably in SA) and pictures of different bodykits on a 2nd gen to give me some ideas as to how to modify my TR.

If you guys and or girls could help a brother out then that'd be sweet.

P.s. .. If there is a link to such a thread then provision of such link would be kick ass.

There are kits available from SSV aka sydney special vechiles but they suck **** thats why people have gone custom.

from personal experience, the SSV kits are overpriced, and look crap. EXCEPT the side skirts which imo look the bomb, thats what ive got on mine, the best way to do it is buy them primed, PICK them up your self, and then paint them yourself and you'll save like $500....as for the front bar, lol get one customed if your desperate, make one like adza did, or get a diamantiiiiiiii front 1G like everyone else....nothing exists in rear bar either, that has to be customed too....

EDIT: No idea in SA, if you want a linky to the work i did and costing etc, just find the threads i started ...i think it was project Magnahaul...

Ah, cheers guys. Yeah SSV would work with ASV(adelaide special vehicles) I'd presume and have heard lots of bad things from them.

Any front bars from different cars that don't require a lot of modification that would fit? I think I saw something a while back about a Lexus bar being fitted to a 2nd gen. Could be wrong though.

Yeah I thought about someting like that. Or like a Verada front bar etc, but too many people have that.

I've seen people talking about a Ground Effects kit or something. What's the deal with that? They any good?

gruond effects is a 3rd gen kit. What you should do it get a full diamante front :)

Being a kit that is primarily added onto existing bars, i reckon you could fit it to a 2nd gen with a bit of modification. And the kit is currently being sold by mits for $320, so it would be a good chance for someone to try it :P.

Different contours though and it would look like ass on a second gen... far different style.

Hmm.. Seems that people aren't too collective on what looks best on a 2nd gen.

These Diamante front ends. Where can they be found? And how much?

The pickings in SA are a bit slim at the moment. But i got mine from a wreckers on south Rd and Eddy wreckers did have one a while ago but it was sold, they might have another one by now as they sold the old one like 6 months ago. but they sell the whole front end with the lights and grill and all and wont serperate.

best bet would be to hit up a few places like eddys or other specialist mitsi wreckers and see what they have. and if they dont have one they they might be able to point you in the direction of someone who does :)

In that regard, would it not by that same theory be possible to install GSR/Talon rear pods onto a Second gen rear bumper with considerable ease and little fuss?

Ah yep. I thought of going to that Mitsi Clearance place everybody in the SA section is talking about and ask them about what they could do.
Anyone from SA seen what they have?
