Ok guys HELP ME.

just bought some Soundstream Picassos.

Now I need to wire up the crossover.

I understand all the woofer and tweeter inputs, but I don't understand in+ and in-

I don't have an amp, so how the hell do I get the crossovers to work? Surely something goes in there if you have no amp?

Sounds stupid yes, but crossovers and speakers are mounted, I just need question answered!! :D

Wouldn't it be + and - that you'd normally plug onto the speakers if you didn't have xovers?

ones a positive (+) input and the other one is a negative (-) input, its for the wire that connects the crossover to the h/u
crossovers will work on the h/u no worries, the only thing you gotta test is the db setting thats on the crossover
normally leaving it on 0 is ok if you have an amp but you might have to change it cause your not running it off of a amp

Let me re-itterate:

On one side I've got:

TW - 0dB -3dB -6dB

And thats fine I know how that works.

On other I've got:

W+ W- IN+ IN-

SO I assume W+/- come from the woofer. SO what is is IN+/-. I'm assuming pos neg HU wireing

Sorry for being noob lol, My 2subs/2amps was easy, this has me stumped! :P

EDIT: How do I get headunit pos and neg wire to the crossover?

It would have been plugged into the old speakers you had there before you wanted xovers, unless.. you're rewiring, in that case, I have zilcho experience.

Hang on a sec. I think I might have it.

The woofer wire is connected to a little black plastic thing, and on the other side of the plastic thing there is red/black/white wire which leads to HU. So that is my woofer wire is my w+/- and the red/black/white is my in+/-?

Correct?

In which case I'm gonna rewire, I need more length! :P

edit: just go off the stock wiring color http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Mitsubishi-Wiring.pdf

saw your post above wouldnt the tw wires go to the tweeter the woofer wires go to the speaker and the in wires be the stock wiring??

The "IN" +- comes from your HU, so where your old speakers went from your HU to the speaker, this wire now goes straight into your crossover (and yes you will most definitely need to extend it depending on where you are mounting the crossover). You will then need to run a new wire from the "W" +- to your woofer, and another new wire to the tweeter off your crossovers TW +-.

have you still got the stock speakers in the doors?
if your putting the crossovers in the doors you can use the wire that goes to the stock speaker
chop off the black clip thing and there are your input wire which go to the input section on the crossover
you'll have a + and - wire so make sure you get it right, easy way to tell is to look how the wire is on the clip then compare it to where it attaches on the stock speaker
then all you do is run another wire from the crossover to the new speaker, should have W + and W -
