Hey guys, just having a little problem fixing my power aerial.
OK some background info, the power aerial has never gone up/down like it should since I've had the car ( because the aerial shaft is snapped and bent... and destroyed) haha, althought the motor that moves it is still fine, so yesterday i went to the clearance house in lonsdale and bought the aerial shaft to put in.
Now I realised that when i got my new head unit put in (The Sony one, for about $150 if you need to know at all) that they didn't reconnect the power to the electric aerial... so the motor doesn't run. I've looked in my haynes manual and can't find any infor about connecting the aerial to the actual head unit or where it should connect to (I'll have a closer look at circuit diagrams if I have to haha).
So yeah, I'm just wondering if anyone knows how to connect the power aerial to the power basically, preferably so it comes up/down when I put the radio on/off as it should (although tbh I never listen to the radio, but I like to have my car with everything working as it should, you understand ;))
Another thing, I should be fine with it but havent tried yet, How do you fit the shaft into the actual power antenna motor?
Anyways, thanks if anyone can help.
Matt
