Finally got the rebulit motor in with forgies etc and now getting baseline dyno tune for running in. But engine temps still unacceptable.

So we are fitting an engine oil cooler

The intercooler project is awaiting some parts, although the exchange intake plenum has been heavily modified to accept the kit.

At the end of this there will be more radiator area than a Kelvinator fridge.

1. Primary Engine Cooling system
2. Transmission Oil Cooler
3. Engine Oil Cooler
4. Air to water supercharger intercooler

Maybe time for some bonnet vents.

Whats the difference between a radiator and a heat sink ?

Is it the liquid cooling ?

anything with cooling fins on it that loses heat is a radiator I think

what radiator and thermostat did you go with?

the stocko magna items are like 92degrees or some crap (very high if the game is to keep it down), change it for a 80ish one, then if you engine coolant is overheating look at upgrading the radiator.

the main problem is the heat in the s/c which transmits heat to the engine. so we plumb in an oil cooler to near the s/c to minimise some of the heat transfer.

when the water to air inercooler is finished the problem with the intake air temps will hopefully be solved. just waiting for a spare lid for the exchange plenum so we can finish the fabrication.

And I think we know who he is lol

When you say the temps are unacceptable, what sort of temps are we talking?
