Never noticed this till my mate told me, apparently there may be a problem connection in my centre console, when he tryed to use the cigarette lighter to charge his phone it didnt work, and i put two and two together with the fact that little lights for the air con don't work, My car is a TE and you reckon it may be just a loose plug or a blown fuse for the lighter and just dead LED's. or something else?

Most probably a blown fuse. Just go through and check each one in the car, only takes a moment, if there's any blown ones replace them with one of the same Amp rating, and see how you go from there. Report back when you've done that.
