actually, i think im calling anyone with a series 2 or 3 SX as well, and GT owners......but im specifically calling on those who have a tongue type towbar attached......and the same style rear bar insert.....

basically i want to know if any of the rear bar insert had to be cut out to accomodate the towbar - this doesnt apear from what i can tell to be an issue with the detachable type (name escapes me!)........i will be having one of these types of rear bars fitted soon so i need to make sure of what if anything i need to have done to the insert....hopefully nothing.......if i could justify it id change my towbar to the other type, but thats a it too expensive i think!

can anyone help with any info?

I've got one - fitted by the dealer at delivery. I'll take a photo and post it. Not exactly sure what u mean re the cutout...

i mean a "cutout" in the bar that allows room for the towbar to poke through, like what was done on ralliart magna's, the dealer i was in today claimed i may need to do something long those lines as the VRX rear bar is a little deeper apparantly - i cant see any difference, but i havnt had the opportunity to have a really good close look

I have factory towkit no cut outs easy fit and removal, hope that helps

My vrx deffinatley does not have those cut outs for the towbar!


IN the "diffuser" part the grey bit I assume it would need to be cut out, i guess thats why heyman reece say thier tow bars do not fit 380vrx????

A lot of the "factory" towbars are actually contracted to a local towbar supplier/fitter.

Allin towbars here in Adelaide used to do Mitsu's, they lost the contract (undercut on price) but they still do Toyotas for most of the major dealerships.
