What options are there in terms of replacing / upgrading alternators on a TJ magna?

Could the alternator from a 380 be used and would it be any better?

it should fit fine but ic ant see it being changed from previous models, there is no extra demand on the elctrical system to warrant a change, but who knows they might have done something crazy and added 10A to the charging ability.
