I also have a tj vrx and when I ran my power cable there was zero room in any existing grommets, I drilled a new hole with a new grommet.

I put mine where the shifter cables go through

In my TR I used the steering colom grommet - Could fit 3 runs of 2 gauge in there easy once you push the grommet out. Im sure there will be something in there...

I used one behind the left strut into the wheel arch, then one in behind the door into the cab.

straight behind the battery i went through a cavity above the wheel arch and pushed the wire down next to left hand feet area on passengers side , to do this i got a bit of slightly flexible long plastic and tied the wire onto it and just pushed it in and grabbed the wire with long nose pliers , no holes just patience. (easier way would be to remove the whole panel , but would then have to repaint screws)

Same hole, but I didn't need to do that (8gauge wire) - just pulled the underside of the passenger side dash out, poked the wire through on the firewall side, and it just appeared in the interior, I ran one under the carpet along the left side sills (sub amp, under passenger seat - used the hole where the seat belt bolts to the floor for bringing it out of the carpet) and ran the other through the dash, under the gearshift and down the side of the storage box under the driver's side (front amp).

Thats what I was thinking.

The grommet on the right hand side ( when looking at your front window ) behind the battery underneath 2 coolant hoses is huge. I have put 4ga and 2 ga through their without a drama. Just lube it up, I use interior cleaner most of the time :bowrofl:
