is it a common problem that the dash doesnt fit back in snugly? just wondering cause i took mine out to paint and it doesnt sit flush anymore i think its the top part where the trip computers screen is but it doesnt seem to want to sit flush anymore.

Got photos?
Are you talking about the actual dash or the part that surrounds the trip computer and air con vents. Plus it just might be it hasn't been fully pushed in for the clips to clip into place, or you maybe missing some clips.
Photos might help a bit more as we can see more of what your talking about.

ok so it turns out where the dials for the airconditioner are that panel one of the clips has broekn off so i need to get a new panel one day.

Was it the plastic tab behind the facia that broke or is it the metal clip thats missing, if it is just find a replacement clip from the wreckers or the whole facia itself.

it was the whole plastic tab that broke off.

Any tips Edward on taking the dash out? I have to try and swap my heater coil. :rant:

ask magnatised mate he removed his and put it back in

the only tips i have is to keep track of all your screws and be forcefull but gentle when taking out the console
ive taken mine out so many times its not funny but u shouldnt do it very often cause they arnt really ment to be taken out all the time.
