Hey folks, can easily get my steering wheel off. Now the problem i face is gettin the verada steering wheel on. Unfortunately it has cruise control so the horn connection is different to my standard non-cruise TR.
Attached are some pictures of the different steering wheels, the brackets and the steering column. Daft-Verada kindly sent me a slip ring but i'm not entirely sure if it's the right bit for the job.
If anyone could give me some help or tell me it's a lost cause that'd be great (well not great but better than wasting more time with it).
Cheers

The slip ring will mount on to the combination switches one way only and yes it does fit,the front is the part that rotates (the short wire with 1 plug and connectors) and just disconnect the wire from the end of the brass pin and plug it to the green/ black wire on the ring. The rest of the wires you won't need unless you have cruise control.
I checked all of this before I sent it to you just to make sure it all works.
You need to clip the front part back on to the slip ring as you pulled it of, there's no need to take it of.

As above, just remove the pin, the rest will go on. Have done this several times in the past

i hope someone can reply asap.
Had a look at it and attached it on. ied to use 4 short screws to hold the slip ring onto the steering column as it would get pushed off by the spring loaded brass rod sticking out from the steering column (the original connector thing for the stock steering wheel)
I then hooked everything up as you said (hadn't removed anything from the slip ring, that circle thing shown in the picture is the bit that came with the steering wheel, not the slip ring)

Hooked everything up but still no horn. I'm guessing this is because there is no connection to the steering column and the horn itself. I still have no idea how to connect this and have taken the collumn surround off to check if there is a plug at the back of that spring loaded brass pin but there isn't. A little help as to what i'm doing?!
Sorry if i'm annoying anyone but something so simple has turned out to be a pain in the rear end.
Cheers

There's a wire that's connected to the pin just disconnected and plug it into the green/black wire on the slip ring both are bullet connectors.

Hopefully case closed, do remove the pin though, you do not need the pressure from the spring pushing on the clock spring (the round thingy)

ok, wasn't sure if that was the brass rod you guys were talking about and wasn't about to go pulling random things off. Will it just pull off or what? And i couldn't see any wires behind it :S at least no brass plug i could just pull off (unless i would only be able to see it by pulling off the brass spring loaded rod?)
Sorry for making the magna world seem dumb i'm just still real cautious about pulling things off as this is my car not just some piece of useless junk that i'm usually pulling aparts.
Cheers,
