Hey Folks!

Anyone got an idea what to expect to pay for the seal kit for the front and rear callipers on the AWD, and some idea on how long it will take to change them out. I've got the grease and plenty of fluid, along with a handy CAT tool for sucking out the lines.

TIA (Thanks In Advance).

The kits cost me $77ea (fronts), from Mitsubishi. Be aware that there are kits available for sedan and wagon, and the wagon kit won't fit the sedan's calipers, and vice versa.

It took me about an hour per caliper, but most of that was wire-wheeling off dust and crap.

yeah im positive that there is no seal replacement kits for the twin pistons aftermarket, all i could find were genuine units

There's a brake and clutch shop near me that had aftermarket kits in stock, for $23, but they looked to be very poorly made, ie. splits in the dust boots

I am 99% sure that PBR make the kits, I have purchased some in the past for the twin pot second gen which again I am 99% sure have the same pistons

It really depends if the kits from mits come also with the slider bolts as the older ones used to which make them something of a rarety, value for money from Mitsubishi (dont tell them or they will triple the price)

When the Ralliart/AWD front brake upgrade was done on my Verada, PBR brake seal kits were used when the calipers were overhauled.

Yeah, if you can, find a way around NOT using the genuine Mits rear seal kits. From memory mine were $280 for the kit and fitting, and I remember Peter from Hoppers saying how freakin expensive the genuine rears were.

That's what I needed to know. Thanks to everyone for the landslide of replies. If my new slotted don't pull me up satisfactorily then Peter will be getting a call.
