well last week me and my brother reconditioned the carby but since we have put it back on there has been no backfire. can anybody tell me how to get this back or atleast why it has happened. i miss it

Guessing a bit here, but I would say the old carby was sticking a bit and letting excess fuel through while off throttle, which then gets dumped into the exhaust making your popping/backfire noises.

It was probably slowly destroying your engine, but it sounded cool.

Apparently Dad reckons I got backfire but I never noticed till the next morning when it started running rough and I had to keep the revs up or it would stall since I was being dads chaffeur he reckoned I didn't put BP fuel in but I did! (He hates safeway fuel with a vengence so whenever I go to dads I spent a few extra bucks on BP fuel just to keep the peace!) lol I had burst a hole in the big air pipe dad found out when we got home so he gaffa'ed it

well it only started when i put the cannon on, now its not doing it at all. cant see how that would be destroying my engine??:confused:

It wouldn't be destroying your engine, and it was probably always doing it, the cannon just amplified it.
