back off the handbrake adjusting gear and give it a whack with a hammer (presuming you are putting new units on)

if you're adjusting the handbrake, they don't need to come off. there's a hole in the hat that allows you to adjust the handbrake.
if you are not replacing the rotors, DO NOT HIT THEM WITH A HAMMER!!! you might try a rubber mallet, but nothing metallic.
using a hammer will, at best, leave indents and scores on the rotor surface and at worst warp or bend the discs and make them unusable.
I found using copious amounts of degreaser and tapping the lug nuts loosened my rear rotor that was stuck. funnily enough, one came off super easy, the other was a pain.
cheers,

I presume you've already tried the adjuster under the centre console?

there is a couple of threaded holes in the hat of the disc. These are to thread bolts into and "pop" the discs off. Obviously this is after you have backed off the handbrake shoes. :D

there is a couple of threaded holes in the hat of the disc.I'm looking at the same kind of issue on my 2nd gen, anyone know what size the bolts for these holes would be?
I haven't actually checked anything on mine out yet, seems that the handbrake isn't fully releasing, squeals/groans sometimes when reversing after releasing.

most cars you can use the caliper bolt to do it,
