Hey everyone, I'm looking at switching to a newer Magna, and I just wondering about the warranties, specifically on the TL's. Did the TL's come with 5 year warranties? I'm considering an 04 model and if it has warranty remaining, it would be another tick in its box.

Cheers

I think they get 5 if first registered after 23 Dec 2004.

my 03 KL got the 5 year warrently on it and the drivetrain one too... dunno how i scored that being i thought it came out on the last of the magnas / 380s?
EDIT - tho i was the first OWNER of the car as it was a mitsu accountants car for the first 4years of its life.. so that mighta been how i got it? not sure
mines expired anyhow - so if you get an 04, then you wont have much time to be able to claim on anything really depending with month build it is...

Yeah it wouldn't have much left if it has any at all, but just something to add to the list of pros. I believe it was first registered early 04.

It's a few g's more than the TJ's I've been looking at, but if my dad is prepared to help me buy it and I pay him back, I think it will be a better car.

Considered getting a 380, there should still be some brand newies around in showrooms and they'll all have the 5/10 warranty.
There going pretty cheap to now. Seen in the paper one going for 17990.

Also something to note is if you buy an ex MMAL company car it will come with the balance of the 5/10 warranty. This makes buying a 2nd hand one with low kms a particularly good deal.

Just call a dealer to make sure

if it hasnt been to a mitsubishi dealer atleast once every 12months your warranty is over

I've considered the 380 but I just don't have quite that much to spend. I also like the look of the Magna better, the 380's just seem to lack styling in the lower-speced models. 380 VR-Xs look pretty good, but a bit out of the price range.

My cousin was trying to convince me to go to something RWD like a Commodore or Falcon, but they are just so boring and common. I don't like Commodores (awful sounding engines, boring design, manuals are rare) and Falcons again all look the same (not to mention a fairly rough sounding engine note, crap interior quality and higher fuel consumption).

Besides, I love my Verada, and seeing the TL's on the road these days in black and red just make me want to stick with them.

Dad's happy to loan me the difference between my Verada and the new car, so I guess I need to sell the KH now!

Some x-mmal fleet cars come with full warranty from your drive-away date, that's some not all.
And new 380's get another year.

That's just insane, no wonder they aren't making any money lol
