View Full Version : The Best Service I've ever had

G'day all,

A newbie here with his first post so go easy on me. My TF Sports has been serviced by Mitsubishi since new but for some time I've been looking for a more cost effective service solution. As luck would have it I stumbled upon references to your very own Madmagna at AMC. Perhaps I'm preaching to the converted but when I drove back from Mal's place after he'd spent the afternoon servicing my car I couldn't believe how well it was running. Yeah I know - they always feel better when you drive home after a service but the effect is still the same after 2 weeks - even the missus is impressed. I thought the car was fine when I took it to Mal but there were oil leaks from both rocker covers. He replaced the fuel filter which was actually the original after 130,000 kms! So much for dealership servicing. Mal cut it in half for a look see - it was almost totally blocked with what looked like brown sand.

He's a great clubman and has been very generous with his time and advice in my ongoing search for another Magna/Verada for my wife.

Anyone in driving distance from East Ringwwod in Victoria - you're lucky. And I'm lucky too. I've discovered a cracking Mitsubishi genius who is totally across his subject. And I can tell you his charges are very reasonable too.

Cheers,
Martin.

Yeah, welcome Martin.

Its quite amazing, the comradery around here on the whole is...well, just uplifting. I've been on the recieving end of some of that myself. Its a great Club. I know of a few guys who have stories like yours. And I know some of the guys that those stories are about.
Hopefully we can return the favour one day, or better still, help some else who isn't expecting it.....

So post away.....Get involved, it only gets better.

P.S. Its good to see appreciative people get their thoughts out there.

I am not sure which rock I have been hiding under - but I have been looking for a good mechanic for a while - I think I know where I will be going next time!

Good to see forum members being helped out by other forum members. Maybe Mal would like to do the manual conversion in my Verada? :D

Thanks Martin, much appreciated, and yes I think it is long time for another of the BBQ's here, has been a while.

I work from home these days, have a workshop set up here that does the job. Place looks like a car yard at the moment lol

(If Choonga eventually organises an old school cruise ie where we used to go to the spurs etc, then we can finish up here)

Manual trans, I am keen, have been looking around for parts or parts car which would be ideal, nothing has come along yet.
