Its pretty easy.. Now its near the back door on passangers side i think from memory(if not its the other side). :)
Its easy. One side of the filter is a bolt and the other side it that funny clip thing.. Undo the bolt on one side and let the fuel in filter drain out. Put a oil pan or something underneath to catch the fuel. Then the other side is one of those push in and squeeze style clips. So you push the filter into the clip hard and the squeeze the clip and then pull filter away from the clip, it should come straight off then. if not repeat the push squeeze and pull steps pushing in a little harder and squeezing it a tad harder. Oh and there is also a bolt in the bracket holding filter to the car. you will need to undo that too and its out.. :)

Stick your head under the car infront of the passenger side rear wheel. When you see the fuel line, follow it til you see the 60mm x 30mm odd cylinder.
If you're having trouble getting it off after undoing the clips, push the filter and the fuel line together and it will disengage. Took me a while to figure that one out.

P.S. Be gentle with the fuel lines. Dont bend them or they will be stuffed andget a hole..:)
So keep rav away from the car.. No need for indian bush mechanics..:)

There are little plastic release tools now available for a few bucks that make the release very easy.
Make sure when you release the bolt you do this slowly or better still, disconnect the fuel pump and run the car until the engine stops (fuel pressure has gone)

Dont do this.. its more fun spitting fuel out of your mouth for the next half hour..:)
Trust me done it twice now..lol

hey guys, just thought I would complete the thread and confirm all this info was correct! easy job although I realised it was going to be right beside where i jacked the car up so I jacked the front left up and put my car stands there first.. that way there was enough room for me to get underneath. All I needed was a 20mm spanner to hold the bolt on the fuel filter whilst undoing the fuel line nut with the 14mm spanner. and also a 8mm/6mm spanner to undo thebolt that holds the fuel filter in line. and didn't need a special tool to undo the clip, and yes I got covered in fuel :P
and I grabbed the haxsaw and omg!! i had no idea it would be that bad...

just to note they are talking about fuel line pressure, not petrol tank pressure.
If there is a lot of tank pressure then there is a chance the 1 way valve from the fuel tank to your carbon cannister is blocked.
