linig the boot lid with fg.
Remove boot lid, cover with foil, resin, chop mat, resin, repeat to desired thickness.
Remove f/g, sand, fill, sand, trim to size, cover and fit right?
Dont want to install speakers or any of that shiz, just a nice cover that isnt one like the factory one.
Cheers,
Chris

lol Whats going on here?
Anyway on a more serious note, Im thinking about making my own boot lid liner as well. But im thinkin about using some thin (3mm or 5mm) MDF cut to shape with some trim clips in the right places and something cool on the other side and covered in the same fabric as what im going to use to reline the rest of the boot install. How hard can it be? Dunno why you muck around with FG and shiz

Yeah that wouldn't be bad, would look a tad bland though being perfectly flat?

Thats why im thinking it needs something there as well, one idea im toying with is getting 'MITSUBISHI' laser cut into some aluminium and attaching that somehow so you can read it when the boot is open.

Is that how people will know you have a Mitsubishi?

I dunno. People can be pretty damn stupid.
I remember reading a post from Bain a while back where he pulled into a servo and some guy started asking him about his car (he had his VR-X at the time). Anyway, since he had debadged the Mitsubishi badges off the car, the guy had no idea what it was, and Bain managed to convince him that VR-X was actually a car maker.:bowrofl:
So yeah, don't just assume people know what sort of car we drive, because it is not always so.
So is this going to just be done flat fg to cover the gaps in the panels? Or have some design to it? Put a TV in there

In that case I drive a Ferrari sedan :P or not that stupid? :(

Personally, a/v gear in the boot lid is a waste of time and money. 99% of the time its covered and not in use, the other 1% of the time its used only for "hey check out my fullsick boot install uleh!"
I was going to mould f/g over my boot lid and cover it in vinyl, i just wanted a more rigid base than the factory cover can provide me.
