As per title...is there a problem with the magnet resting against the car body (metal contact)???
Was recently in Sydney & grabbed a pair of rear/roof TS Wagon speaker pods, the speakers I have for 'em (not originals) have about 1/4mm :roll: clearance between the magnet & the roof, will this affect their quaility/ability/performance?

My old 6x9's magnet touched the metal in the boot and it still worked fine, but the metal was painted and probably not grounded. If it's part of the chasis you might get interference, either way you can buy rubber sleeves that pull over the magnet which would keep them from touching.

Have bit of underfelt lying 'round, will put between the magnet & roof to stop any rattle/rubbing it may also do
