View Full Version : Fitting a Trip Comp.

For those who don't know the KE Verada's have a digital clock above the centre air vents, but no speed alert or trip computer as such.

Now, having had my car hooked up to a computer through evo scan I know its working out constant speed, avg fuel consumption, instant fuel consumption etc, so would it be possible to fit the trip computer out of a TH or TJ into a KE?

I've figured all the parts required would be in the trip computer section above the air vents, with the controls in the cluster surround, so you'd need the cluster surround and the trip comp screen. Does anyone know if the wiring differs between the two or if its been kept the same?

Cheers.

Ah thanks. If its like the TF then the wiring isn't there, but no Magna has the same display as the Veradas, so I'm still not sure, but its ruined my hopes

if you look into it, a car pc is a very cheap setup. in most cases, compared to a head unit equivalent, you are using minimal money for something with more features.

it just takes more effort to get it set up.

I reckon u could do a whole car pc install minus the screen for fairly cheap if you use older parts.
