a friend of mine has a TL Verada ,it had a lube mobile service and now will not accelerate after about 1/2 pedal. when you try to increase speed the traction control light starts to flash. It has been to a diagnostics machine and no fault codes showed up. Computer was replaced and it continued to do the same thing. does anyone have any ideas as to what it may be?

Gas_Hed had the exact same issue, check your EGR valve, his was stuck open and the TC retarded the power because of it, the EGR valve is just behind the upper intake manifold and leads to the Rear Exhaust manifold.

As Daniel said, my EGR pipe had a leak on the back of the manifold. But any sort of vacuum leak will cause this to happen.

Could also check all the vacuum hoses on the TB/TCL/EGR systems and ensure none are loose.

had it all checked out and it ended up being a faulty traction control switch

its good to see you had it fixed, but i also had a problem, my vacuum hoses werent on properly, something to keep in mind for the future.
