I have at 99 TH 5spd Magna wagon. It flat spots at about 1/4-3/4 pedal. The problem is a lot worse when the car is cold but also there not so much when its been driven for a little while. it stipped the timing belt at 160,000 and it has been a problem since. no fault codes show up and neither my mechanic or Blue Ribbon Mitsubishi have any idea what might be causing it. All sensors have been tested and or replaced. Can anybody help?

Does it happen at any particular rpm? like 1200rpm to 3000 rpm etc? also when they replaced the timing belt and any other damage did you get them to check the timing on it?

Did the check all the valves and springs to make sure none of them were damaged as usually when a belt comes off/snaps it will cause damage to these maybe worth a look at.
Possibly one of the valves may have a very minor bend and maybe causing the problem (just an idea)
