Hay guys
Got a bit of a problem. Got in my TE today and noticed a little wet spot on my passanger foot well carpet, lifted the heel mat and found a *** lake there. I looked around 4 where the water may have come from but with no water on the inside of any windows nd no water on top of the heel mat i have no idea where the water came from.
Any ideas where it came from (plugs or grommets im not aware of) would b greatly appricated. [-o<
Cheers

try the back left window somtimes these are not shaped properly and thus not watertight.

check the seal around your side mirrors, as these can crack/break fairly easily and let a bit of water in.

It might be a good idea to take the door trim off, If it leaks often there will be a water mark where the water runs down and that will let you trace the problem...
goodluck mate and let us know how u go.

With my mums magna it leaed bad in the drivers side...me and dad pulled it apart reguly but couldnt find a fix...
After months and months of mosty smell took it down mitsubishi and a seal was loose near the door...they fixed it...cost about 50-100. Cant remember now but it wasnt dear....
id say take it to them...
Or check your coolant level..
i dunno about the TE-TJ magnas heater coil but our TR leaked into the floor well cos its placed behind the radio there..
just a thought?

DOnt you love the water in ur car thing... maybe put in some sort of bubbling device and make a foot spa

But on a serious note there is a gromet in the passenger foot well up on the left hand side just under the dash. I ran a cable through it for my stereo and lost the gromet.... ended up with the same lake you talk of (However the pic above was a whole different story). Is a bit of a bitch to get to but is there on both the te and tf...goes through to space behind the quarter panel
I just used blue tac and now it is all good and havent had a problem with it since.

As for leaks - most ppl take a boat to go fishin - try that next time instead of the magna!!

i just had the exact same thing happen to me. came out in the rain to find three of the neighbours kids swimming laps in the front passengers foot well. i have no idea where it came from as i to couldnt find any water traces up any of the sides or doors/dash. just seemed to come straight up out of the floor!!!!! you's have given me quite a list to check but i will let everyone know what i come up with. probably a completly new reason.

The flames actually toasted the left hand side of my car, luckilly insurance covered that.
Very scary, you can't see anything 1m infront of you, the cabin fills with smoke and you don't know how car you have to go till your through it.
