My motor in my tr seized the no.4 rod bearing, so I bought a recon from the wreckers, only problem is the engine number starts V500......... , I can only assume this is from a TM. Any help appreciated

hey mate,just checked redbook,and i says the tm carbie engines were v561 v562,so ur engine probably from a tm.check redbook.com.au and go through all the 1st gens,you might find v500 sumwhere.

what is the actual number on the replacement block

V511 can be a TN or TP block

all the specs of the motor are the same for a 4 cyl 2.6

the difference between the two is the oil pump and the timing chain guides


you can fit the roller rockers on the replacement engine
