Hey All,

Just wondering if anyone has attempted to remove the seatbelts before, Im assuming people have which is why im wondering why im having so much trouble.

What i wanna do is take out the B + C Pillars and the parcel shelf, I know that for the B pillars you just have to clip off the cover and remove the bolt but thats easier said then done. I was literally hanging off the handle of socket wrench (90kilos of me) and it didnt budge at all. And it was the same story with the rears as well.

What have people used for this job? Im gonna ask Lucifer if i can borrow the breaker bar for the front ones but the rears arent exactly in a convenient spot for a breaker bar.

Thanks,

Kieran

If the B pillar is anything like the 2nd gens, You'll just need to crack the bolt really good the first time.

Get a breaker bar and yeah give it a good tug and she should come loose no worries man. Also maybe try some freeze and release to be safe?

its a chunky screwdriver socket thing that when you hit it with the hammer it converts the downwards motion to twist the screw i have one at my olds( by that i mean my graddad has one in his shed at my mums that i use)

A breaker bar should certainly do the trick!,Tooky, you mean a impact driver, but how is he going to use this on a bolt??,they are for loosening screws etc and do a bloody good job

Well if we did it would have shown footage of me straining my nut off with a socket wrench and then it slipping off and me smacking my forehead on the roof and then slapping my face on the wrench. so im only slightly concussed lol

BUT I DID GET THE B PILLAR PASSENGER SIDE OFF!!!1!1111!!

As Tuffy said all it needed was a good crack and then it came off fairly easily. And it was a regular threaded bolt for everyones information (lefty loosy righty tighty)

Will attempt the rear ones tommoro, may have to bring my foot into the equation me thinks.
