Is it possible to put KH rear lights into a TH? i dont want the middle ones on the boot, i just want the ones on the outside, as i want to paint the indicator and get an auto elec to wire up reverse lights as indicators.

anyway, just wanted to know if they will fit, work, and or look stupid.

Yes its possible to put KH tail lights onto a TH and vice versa.

You will hit a brick wall though, KH tail lights don't have reverse lights on the outside. It is on the bootlid. The outside part of the KH tail lights only has the tail/stop lamp and indicator.

Now if you are meaning putting TH lights on a KH instead. Then yes all is possible but it would look stupid.

Really do suggest either:

1. put the full KH boot (it's only the bottom half plastic of the boot) and tail lights

or

2. Get clear tail lights, paint the bottom half of them red so they just look like normal TE-TF tail lights with a clear indicator instead of orange.

Im trying to picture what this would look like in my head  But if your painting the indicator and you are using KH lights then you will only have brake lights

Unless i dont understand what you mean lol

You need a complete verada lid to do this, not just the plastic bottom half. The magna's boot lid doesn't have the sections for the lights cut out, so even if you replace the plastic garnish around the numberplate, it won't open up the holes for the lights, as the metal behind the plastic still doesn't have the cut outs for the lights. All in all though, if you can find the lights, odds are you've found the boot lid.

Are you sure dude? I thought the TH/KH series had a two piece bootlid that allowed for the easy conversion from magna to verada, It was the TJ/KJ that you have to replace the entire bootlid.

But im sure someone will be along soon to correct one of us lol Lucifer recently did this to Detours car although that was a TE.

Well I know thats the case with KE/KF v TE/TF, couldn't see why the KH would be any different, its only a revised shape of the lights.

That is the case with all 3rd gen Veradas. KE to KH had the bootlid lights next to the outer
lights with the reverse lights on the inside edge. KJ to KW had the rever lights around the
numberplate and no tail lights on the boot lid.

Just go to www.carsales.com.au (http://www.carsales.com.au) and go to the research section. There are lots of pics.

yeah you would be able to do it - i think "The_Ego" has done something similar with his TJ VRX - he put KJ Tails on his, and didnt put the reverse lights in the boot - just wired them up to come on as reversers or something.

it can be done :)

should be a straight swap parts wise, its just the autolekki-ing thats going to take the time.

wouldnt look toooo bad IMO

which i had also done with my car. But with KH-TH lights it is different as the KJ lights had room to house both the reverse and indicator in a clear lens, KH lights only have an orange lens.
