Just wondering if anyone has bought a SMT6 com. cable from any place in Australia?

Wanted to hook up to mine to log data.

How does this cable and software thing work? I've got some cable wired into my ECU that was there when I bought the car and I'm thinking it might have been for this sort of thing. I'd be pretty interested to know how it works cos I just bought a laptop yesterday so if the cable is a similar thing I might see how I can get it hooked up.

The three pin molex plug that comes off the main one is the data plug.

You could hook it up in a standard RS232 config and it would work. Its only 3 wires RX TX and Gnd...

so ended up buying it from southafrica *sigh*

i'm lousy at making serial cables too :P

Wonder if there are any tuning shops in Perth that have tuned the SMT6 before...
I asked Xspeed but they no longer tune them.
