As some of you may have seen I recently got my hands on a new TS magna grille, thanks to wombat. I like the look of a black front grille but my old one was looking a bit old.

So I gave the new one a bit of a sand:

It is important to get out all the bumps and stone chips because they will show up in the final product, it is also important to tape of any areas you don't want painted. Here is a shot after the second and final coat.

You can see a few inperfections in the paint here that I missed while sanding, I will fix this up in a few weeks when I have some more time.

This is the before shot with the old grille on:

and the after shot, looks a lot beter:

What does everyone think?

Yep, I love it how the motor just keeps revving.

250 each is a bit much when I could achieve the same results by my self with a few cans of paint and a whole bunch of sanding.

YAY! I got the TUFFTR aproval!

(Now I am off to make an account TUFRTR!)

I spent about $80ish to paint my front bumper with cans but in the end it wont ever be as glossy as if done with proper enamel, lesson I've learnt is is if i want something done good by myself, i'd rather just get it done by a pro and pay a bit more. cause now instead of $250 to get it painted its probably cost me close to $350 to get it painted after spending money on it doing it myself the 1st time:P

Fair point, but anything at the moment is better than what i got at the moment, it chiped so much in some areas it looks like it was never painted there in the first place!
