I have RDA slotted rotors and i haven't had an issue and i brake very late(bad habbit)so they get a descent work out haven't done any track days or anything like that but for everyday use they do a good job.

I can only comment on DBA as that's all i've used on my current car (Rada) and my old car (RAV4). Never had any issues with either.

It'd probably come down to the materials used in the brake disc - I've got the DBA slotteds and I'm very happy with them.
The RDAs are cheaper and are not painted - thats the only other bit of info I can offer.
I do have a mate with a 180SX with RDAs that he's also pleased with.

With track use my RDA slotted rotors warped badly.
I did 4 track days on one set of DBA4000 slotted rotors, they still had no signs of warping/cracking/scoring... at least until my pads ran out:bowrofl:
No experience with the lower grade regular DBA rotors, however apprently they also warp/crack easily with hard abuse.
But I can tell if you are going to track the car or do plenty of hard spritied driving, I would stay away from RDA rotors, and go DBA4000 for peace of mine.

In some work I was doing recently regarding heat treatment of steel tooling I happened to be talking to the technical rep from the company who heat treats the DBA 4000 and 5000 series rotors.
The rotors apparently go through a complicated liquid nitrogen and heat treatment sequence to optimise the metal properties.
Similar system was used last year for the V8 supercars.
Result is that the discs are much more stable under extreme heat conditions.
This is why the 400 and 5000 series rotors are that much more expensive.
