So,

Today I decided to put my newly aquired 18" rims on. I grabbed my nut bag and pulled the front wheels off, put the 18s on... Then when I was about to do ond of the rears, I noticed. I only had 5 nuts left!

I quickly realised I was going to have to buy more nuts, only problem is. I was too lazy to take the front 18s off and put the hubs back on. So now the magna sits in the driveway with 18" rims on the front, and 14" hubs on the back! True VL style.

Anyways... For the northern people - anybody know a quick place near Mac centre to grab some wheel nuts for 18s (lunch is only an hour)

Haha, I often see Commos around Penrith with big alloys up front, and ****ty steelies at the back. I'm sure it's completely innocent, they blew two rear tyres completely by accident :bowrofl:

Yeah i've noticed that too... funny how Holden's and Fords have massive wear on the rear tyres, surely you'd think this problem would've been fixed after so many years of the same thing... lucky we drive magna's and verada's :P

Back OT, maybe try some wheels shops, they might have some generic fit ones that could work... not sure on the price but

Sure is! But I don't recall making a thread about that, I believe the word you're looking for is POST (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showpost.php?p=868156&postcount=25) :)

lol i had my 16's on the rear for a month till i got my act together and got the other pair on the front

can't wait to see the car though- btw the wheel nuts shouldn't be all that different... i'm pretty sure that u can use ur current wheel nuts that u had on the car prior to the wheel upgrade.. unless u need those wheel nuts that have those washers built into them, like the ones that i had for the 16's on my old 2nd gen

True story, I once did a 4th gear burnout in my verada for about 5 minutes non-stop (on private property of course!!!). There was smoke everywhere, but found it difficult to execute donuts and fishtales!! I think the open diff is to blame

Anyway to my amazement, the rear tyres looked untouched... bloody ripper i said.
Got back in the car and all on the way home it was understeering every corner.
Think i may have damaged the gearbox.... anyway next morning when i got to my car both my front tyres were flat, i think it may have been those vandals up the street. ah well

Still to this day, the verada was the best car for burnouts... always had full tread afterwards.

They only have problems with wear when kids decide to lower the **** out of them the cheap way and not worry about camber kits..:) oh and burnouts give loads more wear..)

Any tyre shop will be supply your nuts dude..(or check your mrs handbag for them too.:))

^_^. I went to the Dunlop Superservice centre thing in West Ryde and got the nuts+fitting. No time to do it myself these days.

Anyways, VL-na no more :) The guys at the tyre place thought it was sad too lol

why didn't you just take 1 nut off of each of the front wheel? Then you could have put all your alloys on and just picked up a pack of nuts when it was convenient?

Thats how i roll.
