Heya everyone I'm hoping you can help me out please

I just switched my front tyres for my back ones (the front were getting low - must be from all the fully sik FWD burnouts I do)

Now when I drive it the wheel is about 4 inches off centre to the right when i am going straight

Do I need a wheel alignment or something?

I checked the tyres and they are all the same size/specs.

Thanks in advance.

Peter

Did you fiddle with anything else when you had the wheels off?

No nothing!!!!

Straight swap.

The tyres are different brands, but all the same specs.

I have no idea why it would do this it doesn't make sense at all!

I'd try changing the wheels back to how they were originally, and if the problem's still there, have a look at your suspension, hubs, steering rack and tie rods.

I don't have time now unfortunately, I've gotto head out and it's raining. I just went for a drive up the road and back and it isn't too bad. Probably about 2 inches out. I might pop into a tyre place in the morning and ask them to have a look.

Thanks :-)

I have experienced the same thing, and found it was the way one of the tyres had worn (a little uneven). Try swapping the front left to right & right to left. Being different brands, one may have a little more rolling friction than the other!
Providing the wheel alignment is OK.

Whats life is left in the tyres..?

Maybe balance all 4 wheels and do a wheel alignment.

I think I might take it to a tyre place this morning, gotto get down to the Campbelltown cruise.

The fronts were about 4mm off the wear marks and the very edges of them were worn from cornering too fast

Back ones that are now on the front are practically new

Are they the same pattern?? Brand?? Size??
Could be any of those or none.
Maybe even look for a screw in one that was the problem i had.
