View Full Version : Verada Digital Trip Meter/Clock in to TH?
Hey guys,
Just wondering. My TH trip meter doesnt have a clock - The verada ones do. Is it possible to fit a verada trip meter in to a TH?

NO!
Okay maybe, i dont realy no. I would assume so, the KH veradas had the same trip computer as the KJ so it should be possible.

Sure is...
Jason'sVRX and I have done it... had to change one of the wires over though or else your fuel gauge wont work, and I can't remember exactly which one. If you track one down and go ahead with the swap, I might be nice enough to pull my dash apart and tell you

Would I be right in assuming that if you fitted a KH display with the clock to a TH, you would also need to source the instrument cluster surround so that you can adjust the time? If that is the case, does the plug that goes into the surround on a TH (or in fact any 3rd gen without the clock display) have the wires already in the loom for a clock? Thanks:)

I think you'll find the same 3 buttons are used for the Magna's and Verada's, I've never seen a Verada with extra or different controls on the cluster surround for this.

pretty sure the trip comp only has the change function and up and down buttons for speed alert? are we talking about the same thing ? lol

Im wondering the same generally as everyone else..
Pretty much my question:
I have a TJ (so the instrument cluster is boreing as all hell) so is it possible to switch it with a cluster of a KH or a KJ?? If this is possible, ill also have to switch the screen above the vents to the KH or KJ one as well, are the plugs behind everything the same in all 3rd gens, also are all the odometer settings stored in the clusters or in a computer somewhere else??
No doubt this has been talked about heaps before..

I remember seeing a Verada (KF maybe) with 3 little buttons the same size for the clock but yeah it must have only been on older models without the trip computer.

Does this mean that I can put a trip computer into my TF that tells me fuel consumption etc etc??

Hi All,
In my KH, the 3 buttons for the Mode, Up & Down control the clock when the key is in ACC mode. When the car is on, these buttons do the same function as any other Trip Computer equipped 3rd Gen. The Trip Computer was introduced on the TH/KH series and before that, the KE/KF with the clock function CMD had 3 small round buttons (where the Mode button is) marked H, M & S. While it is possible to install a trip computer in a TF & earlier, it would be very, very hard! to install a clock on a Trip Comp car though, is much, much simpler.

If you have a TJII, then this may be possible. If it's a Series 1, then no. The difference is the digital odometer than came in from TJII onwards. It requires a different wiring loom etc. which would be alot of pain to swap over. The Veradas had the high contrast meter, which was digital, from I believe KH onwards. Has been alot of talk on it, you could do a search and should turn up alot of results.

Don't think so. You don't have all the sensors/wiring etc.
