The little courtesy lights that veradas have in the door cards are red and ugly, I have blue LED's in mine so I had to take the red covers off for them to shine through....

I think the Diamantes had clear covers, has anyone else seen them or got any lying around?

I think TUFFTR has some off the diamante found at a wreckers...

you are correct about paulina having them, they came off the jap diamante we found at the wreckers, i have seen the rear light reflectors for 2nd gen diamantes (our 3rd gens) on ebay so you may be able to find something there otherwise your just going to have to keep your eye out for a diamante, good luck!

They are not courtesy lights but rather warning lights for other drivers at night so that they
know your doors are open.

My dad had an accident a while ago driving along a poorly lit stretch of Regency road and
only noticed a car with its door open at the last second and still managed to clip it.

It was his fault according to the rules but the cops and the insurance company did say that
the other guy was an idiot for getting stuff out of his car from the road side with no interior
lights and no door lights and wearing dark clothing where the trees are blocking the street
lights. He could've been squashed to a pulp.

Hmmmm yeah come to think of it I read that somewhere...... Well lucky my alarm puts on my indicators when I have a door open so hopefully I am safe enough in that respect and my interior lights are pretty bright too

So he put the white bulbs back in.

If anyone finds a Diamante sittin around, my guess is they'd be a few of us who may be interested.

Did the photo disappear or is it just me?

I just have the covers off, looks a bit daggy during the day but great at night......

I really want some, can't find them anywhere on eBay.

We really need to team up with a NZ forum and get some trading happening!

Looks hella dodgey during day :P
I like the red covers IMO, Just put on the clear ones for something different. But I still like the red, Breaks up the colors in the door

I had the vague intention of making clear ones a while ago if people were interested, but didn't seem to be enough interest. I've got a spare red cover lying around I could take a mould off, but personally I prefer the red, so haven't bothered for personal use.
As Vlad said, I reckon it's a safety thing, supposed to have red for rearward facing lights.

Or you could just make blue covers and be done with it... But I suppose clear would be more versatile for those who want whatever colour of the rainbow...

Put the covers in the sun for a week or so, might leach the red out of them.
See a lot of cars with faded red tail lights, so they shine white.(that's bloody annoying too)

I think [shhh]ayne meant purple centre dome light. As OldAussie said, put it in the sun and
let the UV bleach the red. Don't leave it too long otherwise it becomes brittle.
