require 94+ load rating for magnas, you have quite a few choices on what tyres but before hitting up any shops have a look on ebay, there is quite a few good brand tyres (eagle F1's Dunlop SP's) at insane prices for 4 tyres.

your gonna struggle finding a 19inch tyre in that size with a 95+ load rating,i was all set on some 19's but i was told the only tyre that that will have a 95 load rating was 600 per tyre.

edit:i'm pretty sure the TE,TF,TH and TJ were 95+ load rating and on the TL/TW it went down to 94

They will work but they are illegal, if you crash and the Insurance company checks it they might not honour your claim, 18's on the other hand heaps of them are 95+ rating

The insurance company can only reject a claim if the tyre caused the accident.
ebay has 19's @ $175 a pop which are 93 load rated, which are perfectly safe to drive on.

I had the Nankangs on my last set of tyres and hated them. I had no confidence in them what so ever whether it be dry or wet weather. It just felt that everytime I went round a corner I was going to lose traction as the sensation felt like skating round a corner.
I now currently have 19's with Maxxis Victra MA-Z1 235/35/R19 with a 93 load rating, and rate them very highly in both wet and dry weather.
Cant remember the price as they were part of a package deal I got.

TJII here and mine says 94, TJII exec. considering the 380 is heavier, has more power, and is 93, i think the magna load rating is abit high :P.

380 GT/VRX had 91 load ratings.

Anyhow, a more comprehensive tool to use it the wheelmaster. Do a search on AMC. It is way
better than miata's webpage.

As for trying to find tyres with the required load ratings, try a few tyre websites like yokohama
etc. You need ones that have the XL (Extra Load) badging.

I think that might be contribute to an accident, also affecting your ability to avoid, they may reduce or refuse to play a claim.
If your in an close call decision, you may be left in the cold.

Other things affect this weight on the tyre, suspension can effect the weight on a tyre in a corner. Also weight distrobution and cornering.

Yet. And If you think you will be allright, consider engineers made these decisions and your thoughts are, well, just thoughts.

Most of us have modded cars and suspension, if anything you should get tyres with higher speed and load ratings....

Well i have had them for 2 yrs now. ( they are losing tread ). And i didnt even know what all that stuff ment back then. I would like to think I drive fairly well. But we all have our moments. Fang around a corner here and there. Wouldnt you think that if it was so bad they would of went "Kaboom" already.

When i was looking for some tyres for the track, I actually looked into all this stuff. And knowing what is better now I was always going to replace them with a higher load rating tyre anyway.

I mean im no "engineer" and these are just my thoughts.

I was just so excited to have 18's lol and i asked for a decent tyre and im already aware that i got stooged on that part of the deal when i asked around at other tyre places :doubt:

You'd think a decent tyre place would have looked after you in the first place....

Hope you enjoying the 18"s, I 'd love to get em *jealousy* but the price of tyres, * shivers *, and I'm glad you had a trouble free run on those tyres too.

I was stiffed on tyre's recently as well.....
