I need a new engine mount for my well loved KF Verada 3.5.

I have found NO EBAY LINKS on EvilBay, but the ad says it is to fit a 3.0 TF Magna, although it will fit later model 3.5's.

Will this fit my Verada as well as those noted?

Moderators: I "thought" I posted this question yesterday, but cannot find it. Did it make to to the forums, or was my compooter having yet another moment?

They probably took issue because you had an Ebay link in the thread. And thus removed it.

But, i purchased one of these off Ebay and had an issue with the centre not being "centred". It was about 5mm out but no matter how much levering i did it wouldn't go in. So i bought a genuine one instead.

The mods took it off, i posted in it, which included my thoughts as well as the issue Type40 encountered. With my experience it was alright, i got it fitted to my car. Its a solid rubber mount, so it won't break as easily as the factory ones.

He was actually very helpful when i had the issues with mine and returned my money very promptly. You shouldn't have an issue really.

PM ScreaminTE, he can probably get something hardcore for your situation. ;)

I can strongly suggest that you dont get the ebay ones, they are off centre, and a total bastard to fit.

You can get them in there, but its an hour of pretty colourful language.

Tip is to use a mirror and look at the end of the bolt. It will go, but I would rather spend the extra couple of $$$ and buy a genuine one if I had my time again.

Your time again wouldn't be too soon, its a solid rubber mount. It had taken me a bit of time to fit mine, it was a bit off centre but i got the bugger in there.

depends on where you go, some places off discount if they know you well enough, in that case, you can get genuine ones for about 150 i think.

AFAIK Megatron from the QLD division was offering an exchange service where he remade the mounts.

Have a search for this.

Correct. I get very good discount at my local dealer and paid $150 for a genuine one.

PM screamingTE he is making some mounts atm just ask him to get a lesser grade poly haha, he made one for BEJ1OS the other day and has something like a 85% hardness or something nuts like that it is basically rock solid heh.

Well, my engine mount arrived today. It certainly looks the part, professional and well finished. I intend to fit it on Friday and will let you know how I go.

Solid mounts are ok i guess but the mount is made to be flexable for a reason. The engine needs to move.

The aftermarket ones are fine, I get them for $115 but I check them before I take delivery of them as some are off centre, if you get one, do not force it, return it as the rubber will tear itself to bits in short time.

Well, the engine mount went straight in, no troubles at all.

I have attatched three pics showing the old and the new mount, and the new mount in place. Note that anti vibration weight on the new engine mount, the one that I put on backwards! That was fixed after the pic was taken.
