Quick Q; how hard is it to access the clutch (manual V6) to replace? ie. is it something that can be done on-car, does the trans need to come off, or does the entire engine need to come out?
My clutch is slipping under rapid rev changes; acts like an auto, when you accelerate quickly whilst driving the revs jump up before it engages and things come back down to normal. I swear it wasn't doing it before it's last trip to the mechanics, but it has always been a bit off, need to rev a fair bit and ride the clutch to take off, otherwise it'll cark it (has been this way since I bought it).

Me and a mates dad replaced my clutch when i had my 2g. The gearbox came out when we did it and 1 of the braces + the front engine mount had to come out. It took us 5 hours to do it.

Could it just not of been adjusted properly? I know mine slipped something fierce when i first picked it up and i was spewing  turns out it took the mechanic 5 minutes and 3 turns of a spanner to fix.

Nah, there was nothing done with relation to the clutch, just a standard oil & filter change and the rear brake pads changed (yes I know I should do that stuff myself, but was in the middle of moving house).

could be as easy as the bleeding in the slave cylinder.. But otherwise you can just drop the box, take out the cv's, wheels of co****, make sure you have a clutch aligning tool. Very important..:D
