Howdy,
Yeh, was running fine, as far as I know the belt was done.
Turns over just won't fire.
Replaced the computer under the radio, bolted to the floor pan and the computer
bolted to th L/H kick panel.
Still nothing
Is the car fitted with an immobiliser?

Fuel pump fuse or the pump itself?

Did have an emobiliser, a alarm tech came out and disconnected it.
Where would I find the ignition module?
Will check the fuel pump.

Check the fuses. I had one fuse burn in my old TP which killed the car in a matter of seconds. All you need to do is replace said fuse and go!

Get back to basics,Has it got spark, fuel or an injector pulse, check all main fusible links under bonnet
If yes,Then i would be checking to see if the timing belt, chain is intact etc

My thought too, had a scorpion that did the module twice.....just cut out
But it could be a myriad of things

The alarm guy checked fuses apparently ok.
didn't get chance to look myself, to wet outside.
He did say there was no spark at #1.

my car did that the other week (skyline)
Turned out to be the alternator. could jump start it the it would just die.

The alternater gave no sign of a problem though.
Will start at the distributor tomorrow.
Will pick one up from the wreckers.
All trial and error.
Give me back my 76 statesman anyday!!!!

get a compression check thing, will determine if there is something wrong in the motor (to a degree)
stop suggesting crap like batteries and alternators people. its not an electrical problem (unless its coil side of the electrical system).
Imo, best bets would be:
Timing belt
fuel pump
clogged fuel filter
busted dizzy (if they have dizzy's)
dead coil
or the really dumb ass one... she ran out of fuel.

Happened to me lol.
Mum kept nagging me that its got no fuel but i wouldn't hear it. Turns out it was the fuel after all lol.

that's rather interesting, coz my car ('93 telstar) is doing the same thing on the odd occasion, first culprit that i thought of was the dizzy, then the ingintion module itself, only to find out that the ignition module can only be replaced if i remove the whole dizzy
so after replacing the dizzy cap (that had a hairline crack- that can lead to something bigger) and the rotor, it didn't help... tried a diagnostic test that told me that almost every sensor is busted, i thought it could be my o2 sensors and my egr valve... but after talking to a few other ppl about my problems, it's slowly coming back to the ignition module, which means replacing the whole dizzy and ignition module- costing almost $500+
hope ur's would be cheaper, coz this'll hurt my pocket something severe- been living with the problem since the end of february (since i put my new wheels on actually lol)
OK people brace yourself.

Yeh, went to wreckers and got complete dizzy for $45.
Replaced it and it fired straight away.
Took the old one apart and will try and source a new module.
