I went to a stainless steel industrial supplier for my single tip, $20 for an elbow of stainless and I was on my way.

because the redback only has one tip, do i need a tip made which will convert that one tip into two?

Yeah you'll need a "Y" pipe of some sort... Although I wouldn't bother with two tips if you're just going to paint them black.

yeh if I end up paying a bit for it I'll leave them chrome or SS
I just rang up and booked my car in the muffler shop in Prahran and the guy was telling me redback systems are no good!
zzzzzzz
they cant be that bad if every second car on this forum has one

its pretty much what the guys have said already...its like a 'Y' comes outta the muffler as a single pipe and then splits into 2. not sure how much i paid for mine, i'll try n find out tho..mite find some pics while im at it.

can people tell its not a stock exhaust when cruising down the street? or do you need to put your foot down a bit before it make any recognisable sound?

nah you can tell its not a stock exhaust as soon as you start it up...when you put your foot down you definately know its not stock.. are you planning on getting extractors in the near future? that adds a bit more rumble as well.

haha well where i live i have no neighbours
but yes, i dont want attention from the police, i havent yet but i think thats because i drive a verada and not a commodore

Yes, yes it is. When a police officer sees a Verada with P plates he thinks 'Hmmmmm someone took grandpa's car for a spin'

got the exhaust fitted today
got dual 3" dumps in black
got them cheap, they were a second hand pair and the guy sanded them back and painted them black for me

any way
ended up costing much more because the CAT was stuffed!
cost $429 to replace
and my old muffler and exhaust was stuffed and i had no idea
both had holes and the exhaust was splitting, and he showed me the buildup in the system, he was surprised i had noticed the car lacking in power

anyway all fixed now, car gets to 100km/h so much quicker and smoother now

the redback system is no way near as loud as i thought it would be, i cant even hear it when driving, only when i really put my foot down and even then its not much

Hello,

Apologies to bring this old thread up. Wondering if anyone know a good muffler shop in inner west sydney? My tip is too loud and maybe I might end up replacing the muffler to Redback. Just curious on the cost for a redback muffler. Btw, mine is a 98 TF.
TIA

Castle Hill Exhaust.

Castle hill is far away? I was thinking of contacting Midas to check if they stock redback mufflers. Prefer closer locations like Concord or Ashfield area.
