Hey guys,

The telescopic antenna on my TS executive seems only able to collapse its thicker section into the A pillar.

Before I start getting rough with the thin section, I thought it wise to check whether the thin section is also meant to collapse inside the thick section and the A pillar also.

So far, I have tried a little sewing machine oil at the junction between the thick and thin sections, and some static force and twists have had no joy.

Am I going to do something bad if I get the hammer out and start using impact?

EDIT: So far the thin section can collapse about 1cm into the thicker section

It should collapse all the way in. However if either section is bent, or crushed, it won't retract past that point.

Sounds like a good idea.

No kinks or bends.

It may be difficult to examine the inside of the larger telescopic section, though.

They corrode, is very typical

Try the wreckers, they have a 10mm nut and the inside section comes out

Is rare to get one of these working again
